Get the Hot Body You Deserve

by homeworkout on August 5, 2009

I recently wrote an article about all the other reasons to exercise besides to get that dreamy body. Well I am going to switch gears and write about getting that dreamy body. Getting that muscular body is important for a lot of people, and I have a news flash for you… there is nothing wrong with wanting a lean, muscular, hot body. If you are single then the reasons are obvious, if you are married then the reasons are just as obvious. My wife loves that I am fit, and I love that she is fit. I love her with all my heart and I want to make her happy. This is just a small area that I can make her happy, so I do it.

If you are single and need a little more confidence to talk with someone you are interested in, getting a muscular body is only going to help. Some people say that we live in a shallow world where looks mean too much, but I think differently of it. First impressions mean a lot. Many people will or will not let you into their life based on the first impression you make. Anything to help the first impression be better is a good thing; a fit body is a good thing. After that first impression things really start to change. Here is what I mean. Have you ever known someone that is extremely good looking when you first see them, but after you get to know them and realize they are a jerk and not fun to be around all the sudden they get less attractive. So yeah, initially people are shallow; it is called a first impression. After that it comes down to personality. That is when people get past the outside and look on the inside. The problem is that sometimes the outside appearance is what gives you a chance to get to know someone better. I did not mean for this to be a relationship article, but having a fit body can really help you out in your dating life.

Getting a fit body is just as important for you then it is for someone of the opposite gender. Being fit has everything to do with self confidence. Landing a job, building friendships, meeting new people, feeling better about you, all of these things can only be improved by being more fit and muscular. Plus it is fun having a fit body. Being able to play hard and not get out of breath, go enjoy activities that you could not normally do, sleep better, go to the beach or pool without being embarrassed, these things are all fun.

So how do you get that muscular lean body? It is actually quite easy. All you have to do is do the workouts, and eat healthy. If you do not know what workouts to do, then pick up an at home fitness video and follow along. The great thing about working out is it is easy. People have already learned the best ways to get the nice body and all you have to do is follow along. Now following along can be tough and hurt your muscles, but that is the part that is building your body into what you want. Eating right is easy to, just stay away from fast food and you are ahead of 90% of the people out there. So get out there and build the muscular lean body you want and deserve. It is easy.

Top Reasons to Exercise Besides For a Hot Body

by homeworkout on August 3, 2009

There is so much more to exercising than just trying to get a good looking body. Although that is a fantastic benefit it is only one of many things that exercising does for you. There are the amazing health benefits, sleeping benefits; it is an attitude adjuster, a great way to blow off steam, improves self confidence, speeds up your metabolism, a stronger heart and so much more. Let’s discuss some of the benefits of working out other than for that lean, dreamy body.

- Exercise Improves Health. Exercising has countless health benefits. Getting your body into shape can help add years to your life, and being in shape when you are old will help you enjoy those older years so much more.

- Exercise Improves Sleep. Studies have shown that exercise helps you body relax and sleep better. When you burn off all that extra energy your body is ready to sleep once you hit the pillow. You will also wake up feeling more refreshed because of the good rest.

- It is the attitude adjuster. Working out can really help your attitudes or moods. If you are angry or frustrated it is a great way to blow off some steam. If you have a hard day at work exercise can help relax your mind so you can enjoy the rest of your day.

- Ramp up your self confidence. When you sleep good, feel good and are in a good mood you have everything you need to take on the world. A little extra self confidence can go a long way and exercising is a great way to help get a little more self confidence. Studies have been done on people that exercise versus those that do not, and it has shown more brain activity happening when they are asked to think about themselves from the people that exercise. Thinking highly about yourself is not prideful it is healthy. It can help you take on the sometimes cruel world we live in.

- Speeds up your metabolism. Your metabolism is how your body processes food. If your body processes food slowly that can be why you gain weight faster. When your metabolism speeds up it is able to burn through the food you consume faster. The faster your metabolism is the easier you can lose the weight and keep it off.

- Did you know that exercising not only works out your outer muscles but your inner muscles like you heart and lungs too. Having a stronger heart and lungs can have a great affect on your energy levels. It will also help to improve your health. Having a strong heart will help get more oxygen to your muscles, and faster. You will be stronger and feel better.

If you exercise for the hot body, that is okay, because you are getting all these other benefits as well. This just goes to show you that there is so much more to exercising then just for a nice body. If you need motivation to exercise more, then perhaps a different reason other than your body can help you.

Winning the Exercise Battle – Mind Vs Body

by homeworkout on August 1, 2009

Mind Vs BodyFor many people the hardest thing about exercise is actually getting body up out of bed and moving. Most the time our mind wants to exercise. We know that it will be healthy, give us more energy, help us sleep better and have countless other benefits. Getting out of bed can be such a pain in the butt. It is just so comfortable and warm underneath all those bed covers, and who wants to get up and put our body through pain, no one. Here is my secret. Now, if I tell you this secret you have to promise not to spread it like a wildfire. If this secret gets out it could be bad. Are you read? Here is the key. I have named my bed… “The Gym”. That way whenever someone asks what I did this morning I can say, “I spent the whole morning in The Gym.” Bam, now all your problems are solved.

Okay, for real though, there can be quite a battle with your mind and body. The good part is that you are the one that gets to decide which will win every battle, your mind or your body. You know the benefits of working out and you have every intention to work out. I know that for sure because that is pretty much what everyone thinks, because it is true. Here are a few tips for you to give the edge to your mind. There are two types of people, morning people and night people. I for one am NOT a morning person. I stay up late and sleep in as long as possible until I have just enough time to get up and get ready for work. Try and build your workout routines around whatever type of person you are. There is no way I could wake up early and workout consistently. Yeah maybe for a few weeks, but soon I will start slacking. If you are a morning person, then get up earlier and workout in the morning.

Try and find a workout that you like. I love getting outdoor and hiking and biking, so I try to do a lot of that for exercise. If you like working out at home, then get some home work out equipment or a DVD workout video. If you like the gym set a plan to get to the gym at least 4 times a week. Otherwise you are throwing your money away. Doing what you enjoy, or at least half enjoy, will help give your mind the edge. Try working out with a friend so you can have some accountability. This is my personal favorite. This is what gets me going more than anything. In the past I have said that if someone misses a workout then they owe the other person $10. That will keep you working out, plus you will have someone to talk with and progress with.

Now you have no excuse to let your body defeat you in the battle to exercise. Exercise is just far too important in life to not do. So get up out of bed, get off the couch, turn off the TV and go get fit.

Shaun T’s New Insanity

by Ben on May 27, 2009

Shaun T is Stud

Shaun T is Stud

Many of you know Shaun T from his wildly successful abdominal workout called Hip Hop Abs. Shaun T is now coming out with a brand new full body workout, set to DVD, called Insanity. Insanity Workout takes exercise to a whole new level. Shaun brings all his knowledge to you through a workout video which targets your whole body. Not just your abs like Hip Hop Abs.

The P90X workout has been the standard in the fitness DVD world for extremely effective and intense workouts. Tony Horton created the p90x system over years of personally training people and perfecting the exercise moves to get you in shape quickly.

But now will Shaun T’s Insanity workout give the P90X a run for its money?

The p90x is a 90 day workout, which focuses on a technique called muscle confusion develop by Tony Horton. While Insanity is a 60 day workout that uses the Max Interval Training technique created by Shaun T. Muscle Confusion is a technique that uses different workouts focused on the same muscle group. When you are working out and you hit a plateau that is because you are doing the same workouts for your muscles and your muscles get used to that and stop growing. Muscle Confusion eliminates plateaus, by always changing up the style of exercise for that particular muscle group. Max Interval Training is a technique Shaun T developed to bring a high level of workout 90% of the time and spend only 10% of the time warming down. When someone typically exercises, let us say they go on a run, they will work out at a moderate pace 90% of the time. They will run for a certain distance and at the very end of the run they will sprint in order to maximize the end of the workout. Max Interval Training changes that whole concept by switching it around. Instead of moderate workouts for 90% of the time you will get high energy and highly impactful workouts 90% of the time and spend the last 10% warming down and sealing in the growth of your muscles.

The two exercises have very different paths to getting you fit, but both have the same goal. That goal is to get people in the best shape of their lives. P90X has been proven over the last number of years, but Insanity has all the potential to be just as affective. At this point Insanity is a 60 day workout plan. Will this change by the release date? We will see, but what most other workout programs say will take you 3 months to do, Shaun T says that Insanity can do in one third the time. He also says that Insanity is not going to be for everyone, because it is so intense.

Lady Using a body fat tester

Lady Using a body fat tester

No one can take a look at an individual and know whether or not they are fit. In fact, there are athletes out there that play on the professional level and you would think that they would be fit, but this is not true. In fact, there are some professional athletes that have to deal with heart problems, day in and day out.

In order to determine whether or not an individual is fit, one would need to get a medical exam. Knowing if an individual is fit is determined by their family history, endurance level, strength, and their flexibility. Fat is not as dense as muscle and in volume it tends to weigh much more. In fact, it takes more space for a pound of muscle than it does for a pound of fat.

For example, if an individual is known to be fit and healthy at a particular weight, and they gain twenty pounds while continuing to work out, then this does not mean that they are no longer fit. In fact, more than likely the individual has turned fat into muscles, which is responsible for the weight gain.

If an individual has an extra inch of fat here and there, then this does not mean that they are out of shape nor obese. Just like carbohydrates and proteins, fat is considered a nutrient, which supplies more calories per each gram than any other two proteins put together. Many may not think so, but fat is essential for the body, because it provides the body with essential fatty acids.

In fact, fatty acids are not produced by the body, but instead it must be obtained from the food which you eat. The most important fatty acid that is essential for the body is known as linoleic acid, which is known to aid infants in their growth and development. Tiny molecules make up fatty acids, which help control blood pressure, inflammation, and keep blood from clotting.

The fat in your body help you to maintain healthy skin and hair, which is due to the fact that it stores essential vitamins such as A, D, E, and K. Fat is known to insulate the nerve cells in the body so that the body will have proper nerve functions. Our organs are surrounded by fat, which cushions them, so that they are protected from becoming damaged.

Fat stores the extra calories in the body, plus it keeps us warm against the cold. It also protects us from be injured by falls. Once carbohydrate calories are used by your body, then the body will use fats as the next source of energy, which can occur after about thirty minutes of light exercise.

No matter how much we benefit from the fat in our body, there still seems to be a phobia about fat. This is due to the many misconceptions that we have about it. There are pros to having some fat on your body. Not everyone was made with the ability to look absolutely ripped. So be confident in yourself and keep working out.

Check out the 10 minute workout for an awesome workout. Or an incredible workout for ladies is the Chalean Extreme Workout.
